I live in Ireland (the north, to be precise). I was born here too. I have been playing and writing music in some form or another since I was in my teens, and played in various bands and musical combos.
My current music is in the style I love the best - acoustic music referencing blues, folk, country, and anything else that takes my fancy. I like songs with a good lyric, so I try to write songs with a good lyric. If I have any kind of agenda, it is that music is made by people, not machines and corporate whim.
I can play a few instruments - primarily the guitar, of course, but also the blues harp, the mandolin, resonator (and some slide guitar on a regular 6 or 12 string acoustic), as well the occasional foray into percussion. I love acoustic sounds - which is some major part of the reason why I do this music thing!
As well as making music, I'm very keen on the whole do-it-yourself thing where recording and promotion/distribution are concerned - in fact the whole business of being an independent musician.
